Cyclone Update

We are closely monitoring the impact of Tropical Cyclone Narelle on the Exmouth community.

Our thoughts are with residents, businesses and emergency services as they respond to this significant weather event, including our Sea Harvest team members and their families, who live and work in the Exmouth community and are experiencing these conditions firsthand.

At this stage, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of the community. Due to current restrictions, we are not yet able to engage directly with local venues, partners or authorities; however, we will be in contact with stakeholders over the course of the weekend as soon as it is safe to do so.

The Festival is scheduled to take place from 9–12 April. We will continue to assess the situation as it evolves and will provide a further update on Monday 30 March.

Festival Director Louise Cashmore said the focus right now is on allowing the community time and space.

“Right now, Exmouth’s priority is safety. We know the community is still in the middle of this event, and it’s important we allow time for people to come through it before making any decisions.”

“This Festival was created for the Exmouth community. We will take our lead from them and ensure any decision supports recovery, not adds pressure.”

CEO of Sea Harvest Australia Danie du Toit said the company stands alongside the community during this time.

“Our thoughts are with everyone in Exmouth affected by the cyclone. Sea Harvest has a long-term commitment to this region and its people, and our focus right now is on their safety and wellbeing.”

“We will work closely with the community and local stakeholders as soon as conditions allow and ensure any decision regarding the Festival is responsible and respectful of the recovery process.”

We are committed to ensuring that any decision made is aligned with what is in the best interests of Exmouth.

Further updates will be shared via our official channels on Monday 30 March 2026.
